1. Who operates this service
This policy covers Modernbot, its Discord bot, Minecraft bridge and website at anarchy.yiffs.gay. Modernbot is independently operated by its bot owner and is not operated by Discord, Microsoft or Mojang. The operator is the contact identified below.
2. Information we process
- Discord bot interactions: user IDs, usernames or display names, server and channel IDs, permissions, command arguments and message content needed to respond to commands, moderate when requested, play media and operate the configured chat bridge. Discord may make member, role and voice-state information available according to the bot's permissions and enabled intents. The application does not create a separate database archive of Discord messages or member lists.
- Discord website login: your Discord user ID and username, used to create a session and determine whether you are the owner or a spectator. Login requests the
identifyscope, not your email, friends or Discord password. OAuth access tokens are used for the profile lookup and are not saved as persistent login credentials. - Minecraft activity: observed player usernames, available UUIDs, online status, first and last sightings, public-chat content and timestamps, server identity and message counts. These are stored in MySQL while tracking is enabled. Minecraft whispers are processed for bot commands but are not added to this chat archive. The bot's own public messages are excluded from the archive.
- Operation and media: connection events, public Minecraft chat and errors can appear in console logs; selected operational events are sent to the configured Discord log channel. Media commands process your media search terms or URLs and may create temporary download files. We do not record voice-channel audio.
- Website connections: the server and hosting or reverse-proxy infrastructure process network information such as IP addresses, request details and browser information to deliver and protect the service. The application itself does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.
3. How information is used and shared
We use information to provide the features you request, connect Discord and Minecraft chat, authorize access, display server activity, maintain reliability and investigate abuse. Where applicable, processing relies on providing requested services, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, consent where required, or legal obligations.
Messages posted to the configured Discord bridge channel are relayed to the Minecraft server with the author's display name. Public Minecraft chat is relayed to the configured Discord bridge channel. Participants in those destinations can read and retain it. Do not post private information in a bridged channel.
The public website shows observed Minecraft player names, UUIDs where available, presence, sightings, message counts and activity charts. Raw archived chat is available only to the operator. Discord-authenticated spectators can see the bot's account name, health, food, dimension and live Minecraft world. The 3D viewer transmits nearby entities, world chunks and position data to render the scene, so it can reveal surroundings and locations even without a coordinate readout.
Discord, the connected Minecraft server, hosting providers and requested media services process information needed for their roles under their own policies. Requested content can be delivered through Discord. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to address abuse or protect the service.
4. Cookies, storage and retention
The website uses essential, HTTP-only login and OAuth-state cookies. Login sessions last up to eight hours and are also invalidated by logout or an application restart. OAuth state expires after ten minutes. Session records are kept in application memory, not in the tracking database. Secure cookies are enabled for the HTTPS deployment.
Minecraft player and message records currently have no automatic expiry. They remain in MySQL until removed by the operator, including in response to applicable deletion requests. The 30-day chart display is not a 30-day deletion schedule. Operational logs are subject to the deployment's log rotation and administrative retention. Temporary downloads are removed after use where supported, with periodic cleanup of files older than ten minutes.
Copies already delivered to Discord, Minecraft users or other recipients are controlled by those services or recipients. Operator-managed backups, if made, may retain copies until replaced or deleted. If you request deletion, the operator will explain any applicable backup or legal retention limits. Microsoft authentication tokens for the bot's own account are stored separately from visitor login sessions.
5. Your choices and requests
You can sign out, clear the site's cookies and remove the application's authorization in Discord. Server administrators can remove the bot or revoke channel access. These steps stop the relevant future access but do not automatically erase previously recorded Minecraft history or messages already delivered elsewhere.
Contact the operator below to request access, correction or deletion of your information, object to processing, or report a privacy concern. Include the relevant Discord ID or Minecraft username and the request; do not send passwords, tokens or unnecessary identity documents. The operator may request reasonable proof that the records concern you. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent and a complaint to your local data protection authority.
6. Security and changes
The service uses access controls to restrict bot controls and the message archive to the owner, essential session protection and a database on the internal Compose network by default. No service can guarantee absolute security. This policy will be updated when practices change, with the current version and update date published here.
Contact the operator
For support, privacy or deletion requests, and reports of abuse, contact the Modernbot operator on Discord. If you cannot message the operator directly, ask an administrator of the Discord server hosting the bot to connect you.
